Happy Anniversary!
It was just over a year ago that I started my blog. My intention had been to share some thoughts every couple of weeks, or maybe once a month; but somehow, here I am 12 months later, on my anniversary, writing just my 10th post.
Let’s pretend that I am shooting for quality over quantity!
Time for an anniversary review!
I started out strong, with a slightly introspective article about a failed relationship: The Blind Men and the Elephant. Nothing has changed there, and it still makes me sad.
A rant on customer service, here. I have really gotten to the point where I try very hard to not think about it too much. I think that it is very likely that I could write a blog post every day – but dwelling on it will just make me angry.
There have been some happy times, too. I was able to participate in a historic airplane flight, where I met some new friends and helped to send off the “Queen of the Skies”. I also shared a story of a bad accident with a good outcome. We count my blessings every day that our son is still with us.
The other posts were mostly my attempts at being philosophical. I will let others judge how well I did.
All in all, I am happy with the quality of my content. What I need now is an improvement in the quantity. In the coming year I will try to be more observant; to find things worthy of comment. I know that the subject matter is out there, but I don’t want to write just for writing’s sake.
Or, maybe I should
Or maybe I should. Maybe it would be a good thought exercise – some mental calisthenics to help delay the onset of old age. Perhaps it would help make me more creative. Or maybe not.
